buy Canon 60d, Just Flip Out The Screen And Let It Fly

I would strongly suggest you buy Canon 60d if you are in the market for a great DSLR camera. Why do I say this? In every way it is the best.

This DSLR enables us to do manual audio adjustments. This is a great benefit for getting a professional recording.

A big reason to buy Canon 60d is the top image quality Through my experience the 60d is the right DSLR to get. It is more robust than the t2i, better controls, and it is cheaper than the 7d or 5d, but, and has the image quality of the 7d.

The sensor is not full frame, but big enough. It is still the same size as regular 35 mm. You get the same 35mm look of shallow depth of field which only a large sensor can give you, meaning it is not so easy to focus. You can only get this kind of cinematic look with a large sensor.

I honestly can say the 60d looks better than cameras that cost ten times the price.

Without investing a ton of money the 60d is the only DSLR to date, that will work on a Steadicam, because of the flip out LCD monitor, which is the only DSLR that can be used on a Steadicam.

Flipping it out is all you have to do to let it fly. It works great on even the Nano Flycam, just make sure the LCD monitor is flipped out before you balance it. You want the Flycam to balance properly, which is the hardest thing to get right at first.

Is it difficult to shot a feature length film on the 60d? I don’t think so Honestly I am shooting one right now, and it really has never been easier. Each and every camera set up is easier than when I shoot news.

This is how it goes: so I set up a wide shot. Then I just pick up the camera still on the sticks, and move it in for the medium shot, then the two shot, pick it up again, and get a close up, that's how simple it is. Sometimes I don't even need lights depending on the ISO.

You will need a crew to do this with 35mm film. Shooting on the 60d can be fast and spontaneous, and flexible.

The weight is perfect. Is the 7d and 5d too heavy? Yes and no. For me I prefer the 60d. The portability is so cool. Basically you can take the 60d anywhere you want. I hand it on top of the worlds biggest wind tower in Germany, easy to climb up with it. And you are shooting cinema quality images, in public places without drawing attention. Try doing that with a film crew. In this way I think its size is its greatest asset.

The controls are easier to use than the t2i. The controls are accessible, so going through menus, or changing the white-balance is easy.

Lots of pros use the 60d, they love it. In my carrier I personally have not had a more inexpensive camera that has produced such awe inspiring images. You will love it, so buy Canon 60d too if you are serious about DSLRs. Drop over to my Canon 60d review and see some cool footage I shot on the 60d.
